Kris Freeman, Kikkan Randall Win Fairbanks SuperTour SprintOct 4, 2024
Kris Freeman out in front in Sunday's pursuit in Fairbanks On the women's side Kikkan Randall won the final by a whopping 3.7 seconds ahead of last year's overall SuperTour winner Karin Camenisch. Brooke Hovey (formerly Brook Baughman) who had the fastest qualifying time and Dartmouth College skier Alison Crocker were the other two women to make it all the way to the final, finishing 5.2 and 14.3 seconds behind Randall. Yesterday's winner Beckie Scott, who is usually a podium threat in any World Cup sprint, did not start in her quarterfinal after coming in 6 seconds adrift of Hovey's pace in the qualification round.
